Whakahokia mai te mana o te wahine ki te ūkaipō i Kurawaka

Tiakina Te Āhuru Mōwai | Sheltered havens, sacred souls

Facilitated by Karina Cootes (Ngāti Raukawa ki Te Tonga, Ngāti Toa Rangatira) and Kirimātao Paipa (Ngāti Porou, Te Arawa, Ngāti Raukawa ki Tonga)

This programme utilises the concepts of ‘wānanga’ and cultural narratives to deliver a family violence training framework for the Māori health workforce. It utilises a common sense approach, underpinned by tikanga Māori, that centres wahine within the framework of support. Training is informed by real life scenarios gathered from and delivered by experienced practitioners.
